Rose petals have been traditionally used as an aphrodisiac and mood booster, and can also be used internally for digestive and nervous disorders, headaches, menstrual complaints, colds and bronchial infections. Its astringent action can be used to assist diarrhoea and as a gargle for sore throats. Externally it can be used as an antiseptic wash to promote skin healing.
