Historically, this herb has been used by traditional Ayurvedic practitioners to address liver and gallbladder problems, including gall stones. It is known to lower blood pressure and stabilise blood sugar levels. Modern trials have indicated that Stonebreaker, also known as Chanca Piedra, may reduce levels of urinary calcium and kidney stone formation.

Preparation: 0.25 grams (1/8 teaspoon) per serve. Add 1/8 teaspoon of extract per cup. Mix into a paste (with honey or juice if desired). Add a little more boiled water and let sit for 10 mins. Top up with boiled water and honey if desired.
