Herb Robert is the aerial parts of Geranium robertianum, a small wild geranium found across Europe, known for its red-tinged stems and strong aroma. The herb contains diverse compounds including tannins (such as geraniin), flavonoids, phenolic acids and essential oils¹. These phytochemicals are believed to help regulate inflammatory pathways, support antioxidant systems and contribute to microbial-balance mechanisms in traditional use.
In European folk herbal medicine, Herb Robert has been used for mild urinary discomfort, skin wounds, and digestive support, and modern studies show antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and antibacterial activities in laboratory settings².
