Wormwood (Artemisia absinthium) — Dried Herb
Artemisia absinthium aerial parts contain a complex suite of sesquiterpene lactones (including absinthin and related guaianolides), essential oil constituents such as thujone and 1,8-cineole, and phenolic acids that contribute to its multifaceted phytochemical profile.¹,² In laboratory systems, these compounds have been investigated for interactions with cellular oxidative pathways, enzyme modulation, and membrane-related signalling without implying specific clinical or product effects.¹,³ Essential oil components including α- and β-thujone are explored mechanistically for their influence on GABA-related ion channel interactions in vitro, while sesquiterpene lactones have been linked to redox and metabolic enzyme modulation.²,³ Traditional European herbology describes wormwood as a bitter tonic prepared as infusions or tinctures, and contemporary analytical work continues to characterize its volatile and lactone constituents in relation to sensory and biochemical activity.¹,²,³

Wormwood
Wormwood is used for various digestion problems such as loss of appetite, upset stomach, gallbladder disease and intestinal spasms.
This deals with certain known parasites, but flukes are also important. Sweet wormwood can deal with some others. But nothing seems to cover too much (most things science does not know). Maybe happy herb can do a more comphesive range to cover different things. Particularly flukes.
The guy who sold me two packets seemed oblivious that this wasn't the sweet wormwood I was asking about.
