HERBAL INTELLIGENCE
HERBAL INTELLIGENCE
Greater Celandine (Chelidonium majus L., herba)
Greater Celandine (Chelidonium majus) consists of the dried aerial parts of the plant, which contain a complex mix of alkaloids (such as chelidonine, sanguinarine, berberine), phenolic acids and other phytochemicals¹. These compounds are believed to support the body’s natural systems by influencing bile flow (choleretic/cholagogue activity), helping regulate smooth-muscle spasms in the digestive tract and offering antioxidant and microbial-modulating activity².
In traditional European herbal medicine, it has been used for digestive discomfort and for external applications such as warts or skin growths³.
