Precautions

Occasional side effects include mild stomach upset, fluid retention, sweating, diarrhoea, and hives or rash (mainly from topical use). Take care when handling the fresh plant, as touching it can cause a rash, and never apply Nettle to an open wound. Use with caution if you take anticoagulant medication such as warfarin. Not suitable for people who have been advised to limit their fluid intake, for example with severe heart or kidney disease.
