For those of you who don't know, I'm Laura - CEO & Herbal Visionary at Happy Herb Co, and I'm inviting you to come on an inner journey with me.
Every year, I take myself on a deep meditation and head off-grid into the bush to switch off and tune into where we’re going as a company. It’s a process of union and alignment between myself, nature, and our herbal way.
The intention of this annual ritual is to deepen my connection with how our amazing company wants to evolve and express, as well as the energy it needs to emit to touch the hearts of our community.
For over a decade I have been loving this company through its many shifts and lifts, and I am now ready to step out of hiding and open up my private world and the absolute joy that I have in realising its potential. When the team begged me to create a few videos while I was away, I didn’t expect to love it so much. But I found myself unexpectedly lit up — sharing, filming, reflecting — and loving every moment. I was engaged and I wanted to bring you along with me.
By the time I returned home, I had five days of content, a full heart, a rocket up my arse — and the sense that something new was asking to be born. And that’s how Herbal Grace came to life.
🌀 Retreat Reflections
Day One: Arrival
There’s something sacred about the journey of leaving behind the office and stepping into the bush, bringing my surrendered self and some thoughts to ponder.
As I switch off and tune in, I welcome the inner shift that is about to unfold as I immerse myself into nature.
This first day is always a liminal space. It’s where the ‘doing’ no longer exists, and the old self falls away.
DAY ONE INSIGHTS
With Blue Lotus opening my heart and inner sight, the first insight came through clearly: this company has a life force of its own — wild, wise, and wanting to grow.
DAY ONE AFFIRMATIONS
I welcome the High Priestess within to walk beside me and honour what’s asking to unfold.
Day Two: Unpacking
I brought heaps of goodies along and couldn’t wait to explore them. I set the Sinuichi tea up to ferment in the sun, then kicked off with a few droppers of Kanna. Not quite knowing what to expect, this herbal extract — Liquid Drift — lived up to its name, setting me up for hours of relaxed contemplation and immersion into my Ngoni.
Then I took content creation a bit too seriously and recorded several five-minute videos on liquid herbs (🥱). Thankfully, I bored myself quickly and declared a new rule: 60–90 seconds, max. That’s when the first Liquid Herb Reel came to life — potent, playful, and straight from the riverbank. No fluff, just the good stuff. That became the vibe from here on in.
DAY TWO INSIGHTS
The medicine of Kanna dropped me into an etheric space that reminded me that the real magick happens when I surrender to the stillness.

I allow bliss and grace to lead my thoughts.
Day Three: Reflection
Today I focused on our brand — looking at how we’ve grown and evolved over the decades. I spent time reflecting on the different archetypes our business resonates with and how they’ve shifted over time. It was a beautiful process of recognising how much we’ve expanded, and how the energy of Happy Herb Co continues to evolve.
This work isn’t just about visuals or messaging — it’s about tuning into who we are at the core, and what we’re here to represent moving forward. It felt clear today that we’re stepping into a new expression, and that it’s time to bring more of that to life.
DAY THREE INSIGHTS
The wisdom of Lemon Balm invites me to hold our brand story like I would an inner child, recognising the deeper layers of its past, and bringing into the light the shadows of the past. Just like us humans, this is where the evolution and maturity begins.
DAY THREE AFFIRMATIONS
I align with the highest order and release that which no longer serves us.
Day Four: The Fifth Dimension
I woke up surprised by what I felt called to explore — the 5th Dimension. Not just as a spiritual concept, but as a very real framework for how a company like ours might be meant to operate.
This became my favourite day of the retreat. I felt myself dropping deeper into the layers I needed to explore — the quantum mechanics of alignment, the energetics of leadership, and how a business with a soul moves through the world when it’s guided by more than strategy.
It was less about effort, and more about attunement and co-creation.
DAY FOUR INSIGHTS
Less force, more frequency. The real magic comes from tuning in, not taking charge. With Sinicuichi steeping under the sun and subtly shifting the field, I began to sense what’s already true: we are operating in 5th dimensional frequencies.

I harness the wisdom of nature and lead from a place of attunement and the pulse of creation.
Day Five: Integration
I put the camera down and gifted these days just for me to immerse into the peaceful surrounds of nature and her Fae.
I sat in reverence and appreciation with myself, relaxed and held by the magick and love all around me. So much peace as I integrated the full experience of what I had arrived to. I felt excited to be returning, with clarity and enthusiasm.
And in those moments of stillness — as my mind began to surrender — boom. There she was: Herbal Grace. A new voice, wanting to be heard. A deeper call within me to fully surrender, and to stand by our mission for herbs — no matter the personal cost.
I laughed and cried as I imagined this persona — sacred and sassy — showing us a new way to connect ancient wisdom with our modern, progressive spirits. This wasn’t a character. It was my true self. Unhinged, unapologetic, and exposed.
Ewi — the inner shift felt more like an earthquake. And though the idea made me want to crawl back into my cave, I let something greater take hold of me... TRUST!
DAY FIVE INSIGHTS
It takes great courage to ask for guidance — and even more to trust that we’ll be supported when we choose to follow it. Even when stepping outside of ourselves feels raw and risky, trust asks us to act. When we allow ourselves to be held by what surrounds us — nature, the cosmos, the insects, birds, animals, and the breath of life — we open to depths beyond what feels comfortable to awaken, where something greater can rise.
DAY FIVE AFFIRMATIONS
I surrender my will to the great life force and the grace of god.

After over a decade leading Happy Herb Co and working with herbs every day, I’m only now beginning to truly understand the depth, joy, and magic they offer ❤️
Herbs aren’t just for hippies, healers, or health nuts, they’re for everyone. And they’re not just medicinal, they’re playful, powerful, and wildly alive life allies. 🙏
So, I’m coming out of my shell 🐢 (finally!) and launching @herbalgrace_, a channel where I’ll share the real, raw, and reverent moments of reawakening my personal relationship with herbs and the deeper aspects of myself and our unique company Happy Herb Co.
