Love Thyself Herbal Oxymel

A homemade & sustainable gift for Valentine’s Day 💘 or just for yourself to enjoy!

An oxymel is a healing elixir created with vinegar, honey & complimentary herbs. For this blend we chose heart opening herbs but you can use any herbs you’d like! 🌱

Damiana is one of our favourite herbs to ease stress, boost mood, and inspire sensuality. 

Rose is a heart-opening, stress-busting and mood enhancing aromatic.

Schisandra is an adaptogen and tonic herb that supports energy levels, reduces stress, aids detoxification and supports the heart, lungs, kidneys and liver.

Instructions

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup Damiana
  • 1/2 cup Rose Petals
  • 1/2 cup Schisandra Berries
  • 1/2 cup Honey (approximately)
  • 1/2 cup Apple Cider Vinegar (approximately)

(Use equal amounts of Honey and Apple Cider Vinegar, enough to cover the herbs completely)

Method:

  • Place all herbs in a clean, dry jar
  • Cover with Apple Cider Vinegar and Honey, in equal amounts (this is called your menstruum).
  • Close lid & shake well.
  • Add more menstuum to cover herbs completely.
  • Place in a cool, dry place for 2 weeks.
  • Strain & enjoy!
  • Take 1-2 tsp at a time.
