Kanna, or Sceletium tortuosum is a small groundcover plant native to Southern Africa, historically eaten or chewed, or used as a snuff producing alertness which gently fades into relaxation. A tea made from Sceletium is sometimes used to wean alcoholics off alcohol. Although the plant has been used for thousands of years in Africa (Hottentots of Southern Africa used Sceletium tortuosum as a mood enhancer, relaxant and empathogen), it is only now being sought by the West for its remarkable capacities to uplift the mood and increase energy levels and concentration spans. Kanna may also be used to relieve symptoms of depression, stress and tension, similar in function to the more well-known herb St John s Wort. This herb may also improve cognitive function, reduce high blood pressure and be helpful in cases of post-traumatic stress disorder, social phobia and general irritability.

HDH I knew this probably wasn't going to blow my mind or anything, but I struggled to actually notice any effects. My partner and I both gave it a fair whack and I found it pretty painful. My partner said that he noticed a light effect but I really couldn't tell if anything was happening. I am unsure if this is one of those things that you need to do a few times to be able to identify when it is working... if I was ever going to try again, I'd definitely be looking at alternate ROAs to insufflation. Either way, thanks Happy Herbs for trying.
Thanks for your feedback, I apprecaite the honesty and being specific. I havent heard of it being painful before but it can be described as having a muddy taste. Some people love it and buy heaps at a time but I do apprecaite that the effect is mild for others. What effect were you looking for, maybe we can help in another way. Thanks Laura

Alan Look you can snort it , it's better than smoking or drinking a tea, but it does hurt for maybe a min or 2 after, good energy though a little like a short dose of mdma
