Peppermint is one of the most popular herbal teas, well known to ease digestion and soothe the nerves. It helps expel gas from the intestines, relaxes stomach muscles, stimulates bile and digestive juices and acts as a mild anaesthetic to the stomach wall. These properties make it a valuable remedy for intestinal colic, flatulence, nausea and general digestive disturbances. It is also used for fevers, colds, and in influenza, and can also be inhaled to relieve sinus congestion. Peppermint can ease headaches, anxiety and tension.

Peppermint (Mentha × piperita L., herba)
The dried leaves of Mentha × piperita are rich in volatile oils, especially menthol, menthone, 1,8-cineole, and menthyl acetate, along with flavonoids and other phenolic compounds¹. These constituents give peppermint its characteristic cooling aroma and gentle bitter-aromatic taste, which in traditional herbal medicine have been used to support digestive comfort, especially in situations of flatulence or feeling of fullness².
According to the European Medicines Agency (EMA), peppermint leaf (herba) is recognised as a traditional herbal medicine for the relief of minor digestive complaints, such as indigestion and bloating, based on longstanding use in Europe¹. Modern laboratory analyses support peppermint’s carminative (gas-relieving) and spasm-relieving potential¹.

Very versatile and an excellent substitute for coffee.
Thanks Andrea! So glad you are loving our Peppermint.
A wonderful addition to any tea to help sweeten it up a bit. A beautiful aroma aswell.
I can't really give an honest review because I bought it solely to mix with mullein, chamomile, honey rose and tobacco as a smoking mixture.
All new to me
But found cooking for a short time on the stove top and then adding the tea to the pot, made an idea brew 😎
