Lung Love Tea

Lung Love Tea

Give your lungs some love with this blend of herbs to help clear mucus, soothe inflamed and irritated tissues, and ease coughs. It’s great for coughs associated with colds, flus and smoking. 


It combines: 

Licorice Root - and soothing demulcent herb

Elecampane - and valuable lung tonic and expectorant 

Ginger - an antimicrobial and expectorant that helps break up mucus

Mullein - a soothing and healing expectorant

Lemon Myrtle - a refreshing and uplifting antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory 

Peppermint - to open the airways and reduce inflammation

Instructions

Ingredients:

1 litre water

2 tsp grated Ginger

2 tsp Licorice Root

2 tsp Elecampane Root

2 tsp Mullein

1 tsp Lemon Myrtle

2 tsp Peppermint

Method:

Add water, Ginger, Licorice Root and Elecampane to a saucepan & cover with lid.

Bring to a boil, then turn down to simmer for 10 minutes.

Once simmered, turn off heat, and add Mullein, Lemon Myrtle and Peppermint.

Cover and let steep for 10 more minutes.

Strain and drink hot.

You lungs will thank you.

This recipe makes 3 cups, so you can reheat gently (don't boil) and drink throughout the day.
